Strelitzia reginae （Bird of paradise）are flowering plants of the genus Strelitzia in the family Strelitziaceae. The species is Native to South Africa. Bird of paradise plant is a tufted, evergreen, acaulescent (stemless) perennial herb up to 3.5 to 4 feet m tall and 3 to 4 feet in diameter. it is widely cultivated for its dramatic flowers. In temperate areas it is a popular houseplant.
